Blizzard Releases New Zerg Movie
The last of the 3 classic races makes it’s official entrance in a short movie clip, which mainly uses in game footage. Surprisingly all Zerg units are now able to burrow themselves, and yes that does include the massive Ultralisk unit, detectors anyone?
Another profound change to the Zerg race is the Queen unit, in the original Starcraft, the Queen unit was airborne and had a good range of utility spells, such as the ability to parasite an enemy unit for scouting purposes.
Well you can forget the Queen you knew, the Queen is now a strong but slow moving ground unit, which is mainly designed for base defense. Instead of using drones to build base defense structures, this job is assigned to the Queen, and as for nydus canals for transportation between Zerg bases, the Queen handles this too.
According to the designers, the Zerg race will still be the fastest on the ground, and with the Queen’s nydus canal ability, you can expect a rapid response time from the Zerg as well.
