Mac Bound: Call of Duty 4

I actually already own the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare, so why do I even care for the Mac release? Because I love gaming on my Mac, no need to load up Windows.

The latest iteration of the Call of Duty series has made quite a few changes. In COD4 there is an RPG aspect of the game, as you play online you gain more and more experience points, once enough points are gained a player levels.

As players advance in levels they gain new perks and unlock new weapons. Having new perks or unlocked weapons adds to the fun of the game and keeps things interesting as you level up.

You can think of perks as power ups that alter how your soldier plays, for instance you can add a perk to increase life, or another that increases bullet damage.

Call of Duty 4 is expected to hit shelves in May of 2008.

Aspyr has updated their press release changing the new release date to summer 2008.
