Chopper coming to the iPhone

David Framton of Majic Jungle Software is bringing Chopper to the iPhone. Chopper is a side-scrolling action game, your goal is to rescue hostages while also avoiding enemy fire from bazooka soldiers, jets, tanks and etc. The chopper is no sitting duck, it’s armed with a machine gun, bombs, and missiles.

The iPhone’s accelometer seems ideal for this type of game, the game controls will be so intuitive anyone will be able to pick up this game and know how to play.

Typically games that make the transition to the mobile platform lose some of their fun factor, but in this situation I’m willing to bet this version of Chopper will actually be better than the Mac OS X version, due to it’s interactive controls.

I highly recommend playing the Mac OS X version of Chopper demo, it allows for 60 minutes of play time. During my 15 minutes of play I managed to get to level 7 and my highest score was 9074, ok so I didn’t beat the game, but it was enough to get a good feel for the game.

The game Chopper will be available when the App Store launches in July.
