Mark your calendars, Blizzcon 2008 tickets go on sale August 11

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve already scheduled my vacation days for October 10 and 11, translation, I had better get those tickets! The convention will be held at the same location as last year, Anaheim Convention Center in California, the tickets will remain the same price, $100.
If $100 plus hotel/food cost sounds steep to you, you could always opt for DirectTV instead. They’ll be covering the event in “crystal-clear HD”, they paid me $5 to say that, I have no journalistic standards I know. The DirectTV coverage will be at least 8 hours long, no mention of pricing for the pay-per-view event, but I’m sure it’ll cost less than any plane ticket.
Knowing Blizzard they usually save their major announcements for special events, such as Blizzcon or World Wide Invitationals. What could Blizzard have up their sleeves this time around?
Last year the introduction of the Death Knight class stole the show and the official debut of the Terran race, which was playable on the demo systems and who could forget the announcement of a live action film based in the universe of Warcraft.
Blizzcon 2008 Predictions

- Announce their plans to develop games for the iPhone (a guy can wish can’t he?)
