Need for Speed Undercover demoed on iPod touch
Yesterday at Apple’s “Let’s Rock” event, Philip Schiller, senior VP of worldwide product marketing at Apple, demoed three prominent iPhone/iPod touch games. First up was Spore Origins, which has been heavily covered by the media in past events and second was Gameloft’s Real Soccer 2009, which was impressive graphically and in terms of gameplay depth.
Last but not least, Schiller demoed Need for Speed Undercover. Although the game was a tad buggy during car crashes, overall the graphics and level of customization for cars looked great. I’m not at all worried about the accelerometer being used for steering, I actually prefer it over gamepad controls for racing games now, it’s really that accurate.
Need for Speed Undercover is expected to hit the App Store in November.
