1112: A promising adventure game in the works

1112 will be an episodic based adventure game with a strong emphasis on story line. Each new episode will summarize the events in the previous episode to get players up to speed.
The hand drawn environments are a higher resolution (800×600) than the iPhone screen (480×320), this allows players to zoom into a scene using pinch gestures just like in the iPhone photo app.
Besides responding to in-game characters with preset answers, the game actually will allow players to input their own responses.
It’s yet to be seen how well this feature will work, but considering how well IM chat bots work these days I wouldn’t be surprised if this feature works as advertised.
The genre of adventure games has a promising future with the iPhone, if more developers continue to churn out titles like this, the combination of interactive controls with gameplay pacing set by the player this seems to be a great recipe for gaming on the move, conveniently played in short burst.
Currently no release date has been announced for 1112.
