THQ’s de Blob to Showcase iPhone Gaming at Apple Stores

TUAW reported earlier today that THQ has signed a major deal with Apple to load de Blob onto demo iPhones in Apple Stores.
Besides boosting sales for THQ Wireless, this move will also help increase awareness of iPhone gaming. The iPhone is still predominantly viewed as an iPod that can also make calls, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
Hopefully this will only be the first of many demo games Apple deploys to show off iPhone gaming in stores. de Blob is a good choice for a demo game, it’s something you could share with the whole family. Another game I’d like to see loaded on demo iPhones is Flick Bowling, this game has mass appeal and the graphics really highlight what the iPhone is capable of.
My how things have changed, Apple’s latest iPod touch ad focused on gaming, soon Apple stores will showcase iPhone games to visitors, what’s next, Apple developing games in house?
