Episodic Adventure Game ’1112′ now available in the App Store

Agharta Studio recently released the first episode of the highly anticipated adventure game, 1112 ($7.99), for the iPhone and iPod touch.
Out of all the adventure games, 1112 looks the most promising. The game takes advantage of the iPhone’s multi-touch screen, allowing players to zoom in scenes, this can be useful for spotting small details you may have otherwise missed without closer inspection. In the official trailer, we also see how multi-touch is used for navigating maps and examining objects in your inventory.
1112 allows for casual gaming at your own pace ideal for gaming on the go, explore each scene to gather useful clues to solve puzzles and advance the story line.
From my initial impression of the game, the production values are quite high, I enjoyed the small details such as additional radio stations on the alarm clock, although it’s not really necessary, the added detail makes the world more life like.
Based on the initial reviews the most common complaint stems from incorrect spelling, it’s not quite clear how often players are running into spelling errors, whatever the case, the spelling errors definitely need to be resolved in the next update.
Action games can get away with poor spelling, but adventure games that rely so much on dialogue to progress the story need good spelling, this can make or break an adventure game. Spelling errors become a distraction to players, when the goal of good writing is to pull them into the fictional world.
Nevertheless, 1112 has a good chance of reshaping how we think of adventure games on the iPhone and iPod touch.

I think that phrase was meant to explain the difference in how with an action game…the dialogue is so minimal that if there is a spelling error you may miss it or it really doesnt affect the way you play the game..
However in this game there is so much dialogue, that the large amount of errors can be a downfall.
“Action games can get away with poor spelling” – really? Not with me.
