Pangea releases Cosmic Arcade title ‘Antimatter’ for the iPhone
Pangea’s latest game, Antimatter ($0.99), is a fast paced arcade game with pong-like gameplay.
In Antimatter your goal is to change all the cosmic strings from blue to red by bouncing your ball of antimatter off of them.
Players control the direction of the antimatter with touchscreen gestures, simply swipe in the direction you wish for the antimatter to move.
The game is quite challenging, each time you change a blue cosmic string to red, it becomes a new obstacle.
By the end of the stage when there is only one blue cosmic string left, you’ll need to navigate your antimatter through a sea of red cosmic strings to reach the last blue cosmic string before time runs out.
Throughout each stage there will be various power ups to aid you, careful though, some power ups you’ll want to avoid.
- Bonus Time – Time power up adds 1000 points to the current Bonus Timer.
- Splitter – This will cause some of the Cosmic Strings to split in half. This is a bad power up to get because it simply increases the number of Cosmic Strings on the screen.
- Shrinker – Causes all the Cosmic Strings on the current level to shrink.
- Expander – Causes all the Cosmic Strings on the screen to be able to grow larger.
- Energy – This gives you full energy in the Energy Meter.
- Half Energy – Cuts your Energy Meter in half.
- Gravetoid – Causes a Gravetoid to appear on the screen. A Gravetoid is an object that will gravitationally attract the Antimatter. These make it difficult to control the Antimatter, but they only last for a short amount of time.
- Eliminator – This is the best power up to get because it causes Cosmic Strings to be eliminated when you touch them, so it is useful for clearing the screen of lots of Cosmic Strings. This power up only lasts a few seconds, and when you eliminate Cosmic Strings you do not get any energy, so it is dangerous to use this when you’re low on Energy.
There is also a bonus stage in Antimatter, it last for 30 seconds, there is a particle emitter located at the top of the screen and a randomly placed particle collector, try to guide the particles into the particle collector. The particles move towards where you touch the screen.
