iPhone FPS LiveFire based on Quake?

ngmoco has posted a gameplay clip of LiveFire, their upcoming iPhone FPS, the clip demos multiplayer with four people.
There is a good chance that LiveFire is based on id Tech 3, better known as the Quake 3 engine.
The evidence appears near the end of the video, if you look closely just as the last player dies an icon pops out of his body that closely resembles the Rocket Launcher icon used in Quake 3 when the console command “cg_simpleicons” is set to 1.

… clearly the Q3 engine. Anyone who has played Q3 will recognise some of the sounds and textures, as well as the rocket smoke trails and explosion sprites, the way the number 1 floats out of the fragged player, not to mention the FPS readout on the top right of the screen. Plenty of evidence there.
This isn’t surprising though, the Q3 engine has been open source for quite some time now.
