Sally’s Spa is much like other time management games, where you run a business with the goal of providing top notch service to as many customers as possible and expanding across the world with a chain of shops, or in this case spas.
When I first started playing Sally’s Spa I wasn’t exactly too excited about the idea, time management games aren’t my favorite genre, and some of them can be down right redundant. But that just wasn’t the case with Sally’s Spa.
The game starts out with a great tutorial to help get your feet wet. As customers enter your spa they all start in the waiting area, as seen in screenshot below. Customers have a satisfaction meter, represented by hearts, they lose hearts if you take too long to serve them and if a customer loses all of their hearts they will leave your spa.
Not all customers are the same, some can be impatient, while others can be big tippers, so you’ll need to serve your customers in the right order to keep everyone happy and to maximize your profits.

The first stage features three stations sauna, esthetician chair and massage table. Each station will require different actions to be performed, so you’ll need to pay attention or you could end up losing a heart over a miss tap.
To give you some idea of how stations differ, I’ll go over the first three stations. To turn on the sauna simply tap on it, after that a timer will appear and you can go tend to other customers while the sauna runs. The esthetician chair will show a gallery of different mask you can apply to your customer, you cycle through them until you find the mask that makes your customer smile.
Lastly, the massage table provides two possible services, massage and hot stones. For massages it’s really straight forward just tap on the customer and Sally will begin to massage, but if the customer ask for hot stones, an image will appear of the customer’s back with all but one hot stone placed on their back. You’ll need to tap on the missing hot stone from the column.

After each stage you’ll be able to invest your profits back into your business by buying new equipment, upgrading current equipment or hiring employees to give you a helping hand.
I really enjoyed playing Sally’s Spa, much more than I had originally anticipated, the game is well crafted. There is just so much variety in terms of stations, customer types and equipment purchases that give this game so much depth and replay value.
The only minor gripe I have is with the performance slow downs, it was rare, but once in a while the game would pause for just a few seconds. I’m sure this issue will be resolved in the 1.2 update.
If you’re looking for a great time management game, you can’t go wrong with Sally’s Spa.
