Quake Live Mac OS X becomes Top Priority

After many months of no updates regarding the Mac OS X version of Quake Live, we’ve finally got word that testing of the Mac OS X version is planned for this month and will be released once the game is fit for release.
These have proved more difficult than expected, but we’re getting close. We expect to also be testing Mac and Linux versions of QUAKE LIVE internally this month and then making those publicly available just as soon as we feel they are ready. This work is being done by a separate programmer in parallel with the other work that we’re doing, and is his only priority – point being, that this is a top priority for us and not being delayed because of other work.
About Quake Live
Quake Live is a web based version of the original id Software shooter, Quake 3 Arena, which was a hugely successful online FPS. Quake Live is designed to run through the web browser, currently available on windows, Mac OS X and Linux versions are planned as well.
The biggest enhancement of Quake Live in contrast to Quake 3 Arena is the matching system. The new system is designed to assist players in finding evenly skilled opponents to play against. And Quake Live is completely free, the game is ad driven, so you’ll see banners spread throughout the levels.

Yea I totally agree, I’ve been waiting for this one personally. I get tired of rebooting into windows just to get a few good death matches. As soon as I find out when this hits OS X, I’ll have it posted for you guys.
