Hands-on Video: ‘Plants vs Zombies’ Tutorial Stages

In this hands-on video I play through the first few stages of Plants vs Zombies. The first stage goes over plant placement and sun gathering. Sun is very important in PVZ, all plants cost sun, so the more sun you gather the more plants you can place on your lawn.

There are two sources of sun, the Sun and sunflowers. There is only one Sun so the amount of sun that drops from this source cannot be increased. Sunflowers on the other hand are not unique and can be planted on your lawn multiple times increasing your sun output with each additional sunflower.

But of course you have to find a good balance between building your sun economy and defending your home from zombies. If you build too many sunflowers at the beginning of the stage your house is more vulnerable to attacks early on, but if you build too few sunflowers you could be overwhelmed during the final wave.

These first few stages are only warm-ups to help you learn the game. I’ll post more advanced stages in the future to give you a better idea of how the game actually plays.

    @Patrick Oh without question, I really enjoyed playing this game. The theme of the game is funny and the gameplay is great, I’ll post more gameplay videos of this game soon, so you can see how the game really plays. There are tons of plants to choose from in the later stages, so you’ll get to experiment with different strategies, there is lots of ways to win in this game.
