iPhone FPS ‘Prey Invasion’ Now Available in the App Store

Hands-On Mobile has released Prey Invasion ($2.99), a follow-up to Prey originally released back in 2006 for PC.

I had a chance to play Prey Invasion for a few minutes, the game ran smooth for the most part with a few short pauses. The controls consist of d-pads located at the lower corners of the screen, left d-pad for movement and right for look, tapping anywhere on the screen fires. Prey Invasion also allows players to reposition controls to their liking.

When it comes to killing enemies, you’ll have two options. You can use the traditional method of placing the crosshair on your target and firing. Or you can tap enemies on your touchscreen to score kills. Even if you aren’t the best  shot in town, Prey Invasion offers aim assist so as long as you position your crosshair close to your target your shots should make the kill.

Storyline

The world is under attack from an alien menace, but they’ve picked on the wrong man and his girlfriend. Tommy Hawk takes no prisoners as he plows through level after level of mutated aliens in search of his loved one. But can he rescue her before she is hideously transformed into one of them?
