Press Release

Ambitious mobile and handheld video-game publisher and developer Tag Games is today pleased to announce the launch of Car Jack Streets Lite to the Apple App Store.

Following on from the success of the full release the Lite version allows iPhone and iPod Touch players to sample the delights of this critically acclaimed crime, action and driving game for free. Car Jack Streets Lite includes many of the features of the full game including access to the whole of Jack City. Starting the game at night the player has thirty minutes in which to make $5000 to pay off mob boss Frankie by midnight or face an untimely death! This is achieved by stealing vehicles and delivering them to Kirk’s chop shop at the docks, but don’t be deceived it’s not that easy – the cops are on your tail and the mob won’t do you any favours either!

Paul Farley, Managing Director of Tag Games, said, “Car Jack Streets has been a great success for Tag both on mobile and iPhone platforms. With the release of the Lite version we now look forward to inviting a much wider audience of iPhone and iPod Touch users to enjoy the game.”

To celebrate the launch of the Lite version the full version of Car Jack Streets is being offered on sale at $1.99 / £1.19 / €1.59 for a limited time.

Car Jack Streets was recently named as the #25 most critically acclaimed iPhone title of Q2 2009 in the PocketGamer.biz Quality Index chart. The game received an average review score of 8.27/10 placing it alongside big budget competitors from EA Mobile, I-play, Gameloft, Ngmoco and Glu Mobile. Tag Games has confirmed that CJS is in development for Nintendo DSi Ware and other, yet to be announced, platforms.
