Price Drop on Star Defense, Dropship now Free!
One of the most popular tower defense games in the App Store, Star Defense, has received its second price drop. The first drop was from $2.99 to $1.99, the second drop brought Star Defense down to just $0.99. ngmoco’s trippy arcade shooter Dropship takes it one step further, it’s now completely FREE! I kid you not.

Star Defense takes the tower defense genre onto a new playing field (literally) instead of battling hordes of enemies on flat terrain, you’ll be battling them on sphere and square shaped planets.
As you would expect, the game is in full 3D and makes great use of the iPhone’s touchscreen gestures to rotate the planet and zoom in/out when needed. The new terrain brings an interesting twist to the tower defense genre, since the whole playing field can never be seen all at once, it forces the player to treat their focus as a limited resource.

In Dropship your goal is to save stranded friends and evacuate the cargo on each level. Dropship has an interesting set of features ranging from the retro inspired 3D graphics to the touch-anywhere controls. The graphics are quite stunning, it’s a real treat just watching the game in motion.
The touch-anywhere controls is a really cool feature. Rather than having controls set at specific locations on the screen you can simply touch anywhere and the controls appear. To pull up the movement controls touch the left side of the screen and right for fire controls.
Dropship is completely free at this time, which is hard to believe considering the quality of this game. Don’t wait, get it while it’s still free!
