Action RPG Torchlight headed to Mac OS X

Blizzard has always been known for their long game development cycles, so don’t expect to see Diablo III’s official release anytime soon. If only someone could make a game similar to Diablo to help us get our RPG fix. Oh right, Runic Games is already working on it.

Torchlight an action RPG is currently being ported to Mac OS X by an unspecified third party and is roughly half way to completion according to project director Travis Baldree. It’s no coincidence that Torchlight and Diablo share some similarities. Rounding out Runic Games development team is Max Schaefer and Erich Schaefer, co-designers of Diablo and Diablo II.
