Upcoming Modern Combat: Sandstorm Update to Add Multiplayer Support
Gameloft has submitted an update of their popular first-person shooter, Modern Combat: Sandstorm, to Apple for review. Normally we don’t post about game updates, but this one is quite substantial. Gameloft is adding multiplayer support to Modern Combat: Sandstorm, playable over both local Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Hang on, it gets even better, multiplayer will also be playable online!
Super Monkey Ball 2 rolls into the App Store
SEGA’s first App Store release, Super Monkey Ball, was a smash hit pulling in a cool 2 million dollars in its first month. Super Monkey Ball offered over a hundred levels to play through, which was unheard of in the early days of the App Store. Building upon the success of the original, SEGA has released the sequel, Super Monkey Ball 2.
First Glimpse of Tehra Dark Warrior for iPhone
StormBASIC has posted a short video, showing off their newest iPhone game in development. Tehra Dark Warrior is an action game that takes place in a fantasy world where you’ll face dragons, monstrous creatures, orcs, undead, and a horde of other beasts. You’ll play as Tehra, a female warrior that’s part human part devil, and maybe part bikini model (don’t quote me on that last part).

Usually games based on movies try their best to stick to the plot line and stay true to the story, but not in Star Trek D-A-C’s case, far from it. Star Trek D-A-C is a top-down arcade shooter with a focus on short games — typically ten minutes — and fast action. Star Trek D-A-C was originally released with Deathmatch, Assault and Conquest gameplay modes, Survival was added in a later update.
