Mirror’s Edge takes place in a city where information is heavily monitored and the law is strictly enforced. Many choosing not to fight against the establishment give up their freedom in return for a comfortable life. Although there is a small group of citizens that choose not to become subdued by the totalitarian regime, these few are known as Runners.
